The Mogwai acquisition specialist selects the Mogwais that will later be transformed into Gremlins. This is an extremely important task, as the quality of the gremlins produced greatly depends on an appropriate mogwai selection.
Size. The bigger the mogwai, the more horrifying the resulting gremlin. The minimum acceptable size is 45 cm.
Character. Mogwais that present nervous behaviour have been proven to produce creepier gremlins.
The mogwai metamorphosis process is started by feeding the mogwais. The recommended food is chicken (one chicken for each 2 mogwais). This task must be executed after 24.00 hours UTC/GMT+1.
Mogwai feeding must be carefully supervised, as it is usual that conflicts appear at this stage. Problems during this stage results in critters or ghoulies, which have a much lower market price.
Attention! Chickens must be thrown to the mogwais from at least 2 meters distance. Never feed a mogwai directly, even if they don't seem dangerous.
30-40 minutes after eating the mogwais fall asleep and then form cocoons around themselves. Local temperature must be kept between 20 and 22 degrees during this phase. In the second half of the metamorphosis it is a good idea to play some AC/DC music, so that the gremlins start getting excited.
Aproximately 2 hours later the cocoons will start hatching, and mogwais emerge, having transformed into "gremlins". In this form, they possess fangs, claws, red eyes, and dark green reptilian skin, and are extremely reckless. Make sure you have completed the Gremlin production security checklist.
Gremlins reproduce themselves through an asexual process. Once all the gremlins are out of their cocoons the Gremlin production agent throws water at them with a hose. Water must be distributed well through the hutch, so that all gremlins get wet at the same time.
The maximum recommended amount of water thrown is 2 liters per gremlin. This should multiply the number of gremlins by six, maximizing the Gremlin reproduction ratio.
